User requirements, systems and assets of use-cases are mapped

The technical partners, Schneider Electric, TAU, SINTEF, LIBRA, and EUROCORE, worked closely with the Mining Industry participants, Marini Marmi, Titania and Tapojarvi, with the aim to achieve a set of user requirements, constraints, KPIs and expected improvement from the current situation to the future one, related to each of the use case validation scenarios.

In particular, the expectations and the End-users needs have been identified, not only related to the results of the project but also related to their expectations considering the trend in the market and the relationship with the local organization. In addition, the technological challenges that are involved in this project have been deeply understood.

More specifically, MS1, is about Key performance Indicators (KPIs) and the expectations regarding all the end-users involved in the project have been fixed. To do so, the technical partners have understood the challenges that the end-users face every day and the key points for the improvements of the actual situation through the digitalization. They deeply analyzed the geotechnical and infrastructure data (devices, territory, Occupational, Health and Safety (OHS) etc.) with the purpose of defining the correct technologies that must be developed and implemented.

Moreover, they analyzed the different technologies involved in the project that are needed in order to reach the expectations of the end-users. Thanks to this information, they were able to understand which the best standard protocols and technologies are to create an ecosystem that will be useful for a future case.

MS1 is the base for all the next stages in the project since it defines also the standard and how the information will be shared between the various parts of the platform. In the next milestones of the project, a deep dive into the KPIs and these technologies will be taken.
